Coffee Shop Business Plan

Posted at September 4, 2008 by Business and Industry

A coffee shop business plan is what you need if you are thinking of starting your own coffee shop. Coffee is in big demand all over the world — in fact, it is the second greatest revenue generating product in international commerce, next only to petroleum. A coffee shop business can therefore be very lucrative — but only if you do it right. If you don’t, it’ll only be a waste of your time, resources and money, and a setback for your dreams. So a comprehensive coffee shop business plan would help you to do things right from the very beginning.

Or perhaps you already own a coffee shop, and are wondering what you can do to boost sales. Or maybe you want to buy an already existing coffee business, and want to make sure that you run it right. You might even want to add a coffee angle to your existing business. Whatever your purpose, however you may want to become involved with the coffee business, you’ll most likely want to have a coffee shop business plan in place before taking the first step.

There are certain vital questions to be considered. Will it be really worth it? Will you have adequate resources to see it through till you succeed? There are hundreds of varieties of coffee and coffee-based drinks; what drinks should you make? What equipment should you buy? What kind of location should you look for? Do you go it independent, or do you get a franchise from some big player? In short, you don’t know too many things about the coffee business; where do you start? All reasons to have a Coffee Shop Business Plan in place.

First, you need to think about finance. Either you take a loan from the bank or you impress investors so they buy a stake in your business. In either case, you need to write an informed, coherent coffee shop business plan. This should include what you intend to do, how you intend to implement it, what kind of startup finances you need, what level of sales you’re looking at, and how you plan to pay the (private or institutional) investors back. For a drive-thru, you should need something between $40,000 and $150,000. for a full-fledged coffee shop, however, it could be anything between $60,000 and $350,000, depending on your scale of operation.

Home Business - Create Your Own $1,000 Per Week Business In 30 Days

Posted at August 27, 2008 by Business and Industry

Want to achieve home business success in the fastest time possible? The answer is in using the right tools, having the right strategy and taking action! If you have all these ticked, you can create a $1,000 per week business in 30 days. And you can even do it without any expensive operating costs if you wanted too! That’s the power of the Internet.

Here is how to create your own $1,000 per week business in 30 days or less:

Step 1 - Get an autoresponder

An autoresponder is a program that allows you to capture subscribers and follow-up with them with emails. Having a mailing list is the one of the most important things you will ever have in your business, so start building one. I highly recommend using Aweber autoresponders.

Step 2 - Create a product

You will sell this product for $20-$50. The easiest product you can create is an ebook. You can either write it yourself or hire a ghostwriter to crank out a quality ebook for you for a few hundred dollars.

Step 3 - Create a sales page

A sales page is a direct marketing letter website that sells the benefits of your product. I won’t go too deeply into copywriting here but the key to focus on is benefits. Write a killer headline, have a good story and call your visitors to action (buy) and you have a good sales letter that converts. Remember to include your opt-in form on your sales page too to build your list (more details in my free report in my resource box)

Step 4 - Market your website

Create an affiliate program through Clickbank. Then invite your customers to promote your product to earn commissions whenever they make a sale. This takes your marketing to autopilot levels as your customers are now spreading the word about your product. Market your sales page through other means like article marketing, forums, and Google AdWords.

The Home Business Connection - Balancing Your Home Business and Family

Posted at by Business and Industry

Balancing your home business and family life can be challenging and often overwhelming. Here are a few tips on how to properly maintain this balance. If done properly, one can gain better quality time with the family as well as an increased income.

1. Create your schedule for you and the entire family. Your home business schedule should be like any other schedule. Responsibilities and chores should be divided among the family. Make a list and post it in a highly visible area. In order for everyone to know what is expected of them, call a family meeting. This will ensure success and teamwork. Allow for input from others so that they can take ownership.

2. Plan your home business schedule at least 1 week in advance. You should only be working your business an average of 2-4 hours per day. Split your day in half by working an hour or two in the morning and an hour two during the evening hours. In addition, always allow an extra 15 - 30 minutes of extra time for unforeseen things in your schedule. It is very easy to get caught up in the thick of it and neglect others including your family. Your home business can become an obsession and it will overwhelm you if you are not careful. Take time to reflect.

3. Plan ahead 7-10 days. Make sure to prepare a list. Plan meals for the next week or so in advance, be aware of practices and other commitments for the kids and the rest of your family. This will save you both time and money.

4. Schedule play time with the family. Do you remember the old saying all work and no play? Get out and play! You will relieve stress, get your mind off of your work and will keep you and your family much more happy and balanced. Not doing so will make your business less fun and enjoyable. Take your family out for a Sunday brunch. Then spend the rest of the day with each other enjoying fun activities. Plan these activities in advance too. It’s also necessary to get out of the house and be in a completely different environment. You will come back to your home business feeling refreshed and energized.

5. If you are married, time with the spouse should be a priority. Consistency is key. Set a date time every week. Be sure not to neglect this.

While these tips may seem simple and obvious, they are often the most neglected and taken for granted. By writing down your schedule and goals, you will be more organized. In addition, you will be consciously reminded of what it is that you should be doing in order to maintain that healthy balance between your home business and family.

Online Business Is Still Growing

Posted at August 25, 2008 by Business and Industry

Online business is still in its infancy, especially when compared to centuries of “real world” trading, bartering and selling which has taken place. While ?real world? solutions will not fit every online business concern, both types of businesses become successful only when their top priority is customer service and client satisfaction.

Online business is still growing a lot, and retailers have definitely taken interest in the online competition. Manufacturers have the ability to limit prices which stands to benefit strong brands a lot.

Starting your own online business is not hard. But it does require that you have and follow an action plan. Starting an online business is not always as easy as it may sound. But, running an online business has many benefits over its offline counterpart.

Starting an online is not nearly as hard as some people will tell you that it is, nor is it as easy as you will hear from many sources. In fact, I’m sure you are probably bombarded daily with the same do nothing make thousands of dollars a month offers that I get. Starting your very own online business takes very little start up costs. Unlike starting a business in the Real World, there is no rent to pay or equipment to buy when starting an online business.

Success online comes not in replacing the old with the new, but blending them together. Successful marketers would probably also make very good (or very evil) psychologists :).

Informational chats are good as well, such as one that explains what a certain non-familiar product is. Information about registrants will be used in the aggregate. However, if we buy a business, we will honor the requests that customers made of that business regarding e-mail communications.

Websites are supposed to be dynamic. This means they need to be updated. Website design no longer costs thousands of dollars. In fact, you can do it for less than $50 if you are willing to do the work yourself.

Internet users consider internet advertising to be the most relevant ad format. The internet evolved as a medium for marketing and advertising since 1994. Internet Marketers who do not understand these concepts will soon succumb to failure.

When I first started marketing I simply joined programs and started promoting. Internet success means having a great site, and having a great site means making the Internet work for you.

Starting your own online business takes very little start up costs. Unlike starting a business in the Real World, there is no rent to pay or equipment to buy when starting an internet business .

Starting your own business part time or full time is within the reach of every one. Gender, Age and Ethnic background do not matter - ambition, motivation and staying power matter . Starting an online business is no longer a novelty. It’s a fact of life for individuals and established companies alike.

Blogs offer a vehicle for you to give your business some “personality.”.As author Cochran notes, “Everybody likes to do business with a friend,” so make your blog as personable as you can without seeming hokey. However, be thoughtful about what topics you cover; some hot-button issues, such as discussing an Internet tax or Internet neutrality are probably topics for this type of forum and reflect that you are a knowledgeable business person.

Blogger Unleashed posts useful content that even the biggest internet newbie can follow, and unlike other blogs out there, Vic is dedicated to helping his readers succeed - a couple questions I’ve asked through comments have been replied to; a few of his readers talk about how he has helped through Skype and personally guided them towards making their own website - would any A-Lister do that?

Marketing Your Business With Promotional Mugs

Posted at August 23, 2008 by Business and Industry

One of the first things many people do when they wake up in the morning is brew a cup of coffee or tea. In the middle of the day, if they are slowing down, a fresh cup of coffee or tea is a wonderful pick-me-up. Take advantage of these common habits when you invest in promotional mugs for your business. With promotional mugs, your business name stands quietly beside your potential customer as they get ready in the morning or tackle the afternoon ahead. No matter when your target audience picks up your promotional mugs, they will see and remember your business name, even if they are not consciously acknowledging that they are seeing your name.

With each use of the promotional mug, your investment can become one of their favourite things - part of their everyday lives. They might refer to their preferred mug of choice as their “[Your Company Name] mug” each morning. Can you ask for better branding than that? In addition, every person that comes across your promotional mug will see your business logo and message. They will want to know more. They will want to know what products and services you are offering and if you have something they might want. If you want to generate a buzz about your company in a positive and natural way, promotional mugs are the right investment.

There are a number of different promotional mug styles that your business can choose from. Choose the one that sends the right message about your business and will appeal to your target audience for best results. You can start marketing your business using promotional mugs and see the increase in brand recognition, customer loyalty and increased sales when you place your order today.

Weakened dollar helps isle visitor industry

Posted at August 7, 2008 by Business and Industry

Weakened dollar helps isle visitor industry.
Continued weakening in the U.S. dollar might have played a key role in the good news from Hawaii”s visitor industry last month.

Visitors from Canada and Europe, especially, were taking advantage of favorable exchange rates, members of Hawaii”s visitor industry say. For the first time since the 1980s, the number of Canadian visitor days surpassed Japanese visitor days in Hawaii.

Overall, February arrivals by air rose 5.6 percent to 592,889 visitors compared with the same month last year, and arrivals from Canada soared 31.5 percent. Overall expenditures totaled $1 billion, a 5.2 percent increase from the year before.

The sagging dollar also could be responsible for an uptick in domestic travel to Hawaii, officials say, as affluent East Coast travelers look for a vacation destination that does not require converting a weakened dollar.
